TL elektronic closed on February 26th, 2010 contract worth 600 thousand EUR with Honeywell Czech Republic and became a major subcontractor for the development of modular avionics linking SATCOM radios with the radio.

This SATCOM radio will replace the existing VHF stations used in communication between the pilots and ATC and allows communication over long distances, because it will not communicate directly with the ground, but through satellites. This system will provide to the pilot unprecedented data transfer capabilities of the airplane in the IFR flight, such as meteorological data, graphical display of weather situation, the possibility of rescheduled flight, obtain current information about the destination airport, etc. In addition, ATC will be able to watch at any given time more obtained information from the aircraft onboard avionics, sent via SATCOM radio.
